Project: Big Bubble Showcase Mirror in steel

SHOWCASE MIRROR – commissioned
a wall mirror to display objects of the Centre Caeramique, found in Maastricht.

These large Bubble Showcase Mirrors are displayed in the public toilet of the Centre Ceramique in Maastricht. Filled with old objects of the Centre Caeramique, found in Maastricht.

‘The walk into this toilet shall not just
offer a relief, but also be a surprising
possibility to learn and see more about
the history of Maastricht.’

According to the interior designer: Alex Schul, who asked us to design the showcase mirror proof for public toilets.

These elegant mirrors with a frame of steel can brighten up your day. The added bubble in front of your precious object create an unique effect of depth, simply by lifting the bubble of the frame you can change your object easily. As if your souvenir floats in a soap bubble! With different variations in colour, patterns and sizes you can create your own niche.
By developing their own machine in which they can form plexiglass panels in organic curved shapes, they are able to make showcase cabinets with a magical effect since 2012. The most bizarre objects fit in with the advantage that you can see it from all sides. Because the cabinet hangs or stands serene within the space, there is something magical and poetic around it.
It all started with the idea to emphasize the current trend of mass consumption. To regain what we already have, instead of buying new products every time.
Show your most beautiful and precious object in an organic shaped showcase mirror, so that they reinforce each other to receive more attention.

Made since 2017 in the Netherlands in-house studio – materials: recycled acrylic glass panels, powder coated stainless steel & mirror, sizes: 60 X 60 x ±25 cm & 50 x 40 x ±15 cm
